Utensils were dirty and that was if we got them The food is at best mediocre and that is being nice. Chicken soup broth tasted like lemon in it as well as the honey mustard. The French fries were not fresh and reheated. My daughter ordered a steak medium and it came out well done. Wait staff isn’t very attentive. I had a craving for spaghetti with butter, so I placed my order along with some grilled chicken and garlic bread. To my surprise, I was informed that I could also have a soup with my meal, and I was offered lobster bisque. My father was a chef known for his lobster bisque, so I set my expectations accordingly. While this diner’s version didn’t quite measure up to his, it was still quite good, which is a compliment! The spaghetti was perfectly cooked and just what I needed. The seasoned chicken was also cooked to perfection and incredibly juicy.
I know I give a lot off restaurant 5stars. This is were I start, then depending in how service and food get I score it. This was amazing. I been coming here for years when I was a kidd, the service was great, clean place, and the food was out off this world still great food.

I was on Route 3 in NJ. I had to stop at the Tick Tock Dinner. Excellent Dinner. You have to stop and eat there. Great place. They have been in business a long time.
