Situated right in the heart of the action, this spacious and inviting corner establishment serves up fantastic service and tasty bar food. The chef, Freddy, has been part of the team for a long time and is truly dedicated to his craft. As an Irish sports bar with large screen TVs scattered throughout, it fosters a vibrant atmosphere where sports enthusiasts are friendly rather than rowdy.
Tiernan's is a bar that skillfully blends its Irish heritage with a modern American atmosphere. The food is fantastic, making it one of the rare spots that really embraces holiday decorations, adding a charming festive flair. The staff are polite and accommodating, and there’s a spacious lounge area in the corner that’s great for groups of friends. Trivia nights here are consistently a lot of fun!
I visited this restaurant for the first time and was a bit taken aback by the somewhat limited menu, as I had anticipated a broader selection of main courses. However, the dishes they did offer were quite delicious. I would rate the burger I ordered at 4 stars, although it was a little greasy, which resulted in the bread becoming soggy.

Fun place to hang out at, BUT I am a little disappointed at the fact that the service at the bar could be a little better. I understand that talking to people is a part of the business as well, but serving people always comes first. Long conversations should and can wait.
This is a fantastic place to relax, but I was somewhat let down by the bar service. While I appreciate that interacting with customers is important, I believe that prioritizing service should take precedence. Extended conversations can certainly hold off for later.
Excellent spot on Main Street. The beer was perfectly chilled and refreshing. Service was attentive. The food, including the fish and chips and chicken sandwich, was decent but could use some improvement. Enjoyed a pleasant evening sitting outside.
It's a good place for a night out. Hopefully you get to catch a band, but it is quite busy, the bar will stay messy and dirty through the night. The bartenders over pour and over charge Book a table now
One of my favorite neighborhood bars in Stamford is always bustling on Saturdays with live bands and speedy bartenders. It's also a great spot to catch a football game.
