My first warning should have been the kitschy decor and waiting area that smelled vaguely like urine. The prices were outrageous when you consider that the food was third rate and the mashed potatoes were fake! I work very close to the restaurant so I figured I'd give the takeout a try. I ordered the 9 oz New York strip with the vegetable of the day and a baked potato. The steak was a definite freezer to grill item. It was under-seasoned and unflavorable and chewy at best with a 5th of the entire steak being non-edible fat. The vegetable of the day was green beans and they tasted like canned green beans used in a school cafeteria and were also under-seasoned. Well first timer here food was fine. But my main issue was I had left my purse there didn’t notice until the next morning while packing to leave from my hotel . I called restaurant immediately but they did not open until 11am . I drive out to the restaurant prior to opening ran into manager in the parking lot explained my situation, he did go in look for it ask a few people who worked that night I was there , but no purse to be found !! Thank goodness I didn’t have anything valuable in my purse!! I guess this place hires untrustworthy people !! I will never return there !!!
The ambience is nice. However, the service was lacking. We had to constantly ask for the waiter and we didn’t get offered rolls. Plus the ladies restroom was filthy. They need to have someone attending to the restrooms because it was nasty. The food was okay and we had plenty but we had to hunt our waiter down to get missing parts of order. I understand it’s busy on weekends but at least make sure we’re not missing stuff when you give us our food. Plus if you’re near us check on us here and there.

We had to wait almost an hour after our reservation time. Having a reservation got us in the door because they turned away all walkins but we still had to wait, so sad. Our server came late to start and did not offer us any bread. Another server was kind enough to ask. I was not served my 2nd side and I forgot till I got home else would have asked about it. Overall, the food taste made up a bit for the inconveniences we experienced. Would I go back? Not sure yet.
This is still the best dining place for my money. Very clean with a full staff. I was able to make a reservation and be seated on time. I will continue to rave over the crab cakes. All of the food was excellent and I can't wait to come back.
Let me tell you I'm a business traveler. I will not visit Baltimore without going here. I recommend this restaurant to everyone...been going here for 20 years. Great steaks crab cakes.
Crabcakes were great but steak was under seasoned and not worth the price. Sides were nothing special.Lobster was rubbery. Definitely not worth what we paid.
