Been here a few times and been good. I don’t know what’s happened but omg it’s horendous. The roast potatoes are hard,white and black around the edges. Not inviting at all. Got small ones(benefit of the doubt) vile. Left it. The mash was like...pure slop and I mean slop. The gravy like water swimming round the plate. No gammon. I got pork and turkey(small amount which to be fair was nice. My meal was basically bit of meat small spoon of peas and carrots (very dry)Yorkshire pudding(nice) and spoon of stuffing (Rock hard)and watery gravy. Never again !
Very busy evening but still perfect both food and service, Our server Tonight George deserves a special mention he really did a super job in controlling a very full section, He is a credit to the company, also like to mention the chef on...the carvery (sorry did not catch his name) he went to the trouble of removing ever last bit of fat from the meats before placing on the customers plate that is not something one would expect especially when the restaurant is mad busy . I would never choose a carvery restaurant due to a very bad experience some years ago ..But today I visited the Toby carvery in formby and my experience was really surprising … …. Choices of very succulent meats ..and huge Yorkshire puddings Lovely choice of...vegetables and macaroni cheese The hot plate display was amazing … and all food was really fresh and Hot hot hot The Customer service was excellent too …what couldn’t you like .. Well done shall return with more family and friends
Nice little stop for a breakfast, everything spot on food tasted good. Only down side was bacon had been under the light to long and had gone very crispy just how I like it but wife likes it a little less well done. But that’s...down to personal tastes so still a for me. Staff were friendly and let us get settled before we ordered. Will be back again. We were there just as breakfast finished and the cavery got going was tempted to move straight on to the Carvery.

Wonderful breakfast at Tooby formby today. Service from the lovely cliff was excellent, nothing too much trouble and very friendly and accommodating. Our lovely breakfast chef Neil came out to make sure we had enough of everything as we can quite late and even thou...was tawdry end of service, made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely quiet hour, will definitely be back,
A birthday treat for me. A lovely roast dinner served by the nicest lady you could wish to meet Nicky. All staff were lovely, helpful and polite but our time was spent mostly with Nicky. The Inn was clean and observing covid properly with...plenty of hand gels and masks being worn. Highly recommended place to visit in my opinion.
Overall, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Food is good value. However, we ordered fruit shoots for our grandchildren. These were priced at almost an mark up on supermarket prices. This is really way over the top.
Doesn't matter how long you haven't been here, Nicky always makes us feel at home. Unreal care from her yet again. Food lovely as always. Can't wait to come back.
