This restaurant is a classic example of a small-town American take on Asian dining. Interestingly, it doesn't attempt to claim authenticity, instead opting for very Americanized versions of Asian dishes. Although the name suggests a focus on Japanese cuisine, the menu is actually a mix of various Asian-inspired options. That said, the food was quite decent. It didn't really taste Asian at all, but it was satisfying. It reminded me of what a Midwestern mom might whip up for an Asian-themed dinner night. I ordered takeout for dinner, and the meal was priced around $20–30 per person. I highly recommend trying the California Roll and the Crab Rolls; they were both delicious! I'm not certain about the vegetarian options available, so I can't offer a firm suggestion for vegetarians. On the bright side, there's plenty of parking available, and it's all free in the lot!
The food is great! Everything you order on the menu comes in large quantities. Sauces are upon request as not everyone likes sauce on their food. I've never encountered so many unhappy workers. The atmosphere felt very tense, and the staff was rude for no apparent reason. If you don't enjoy interacting with people or are having a rough day, it might be better to just stay home rather than come to work.
