Recently a few friends from work and I formed a supper club. Tong Phoon Thai was our first stop and it was an excellent choice. We started with 3 different appetizers: Shrimp in a Blanket, Spring Rolls, and Crab Rangoons. The first two were exceptional,I'd go so far to say the Spring Rolls were the best I've ever had. The Crab Rangoons were only okay and somewhat plain tasting.I got the Pad See Eew and it was also really good. Everything was very fresh. I gotta say the waiter was outstanding! He wasfriendly and engaging and I was grateful for his suggestions. We finished off with a dessert of his suggestion, it was Mangowith sticky rice. I had never tried this before and it was surprisingly...

My mom treated us to an anniversary dinner at Tong Phoon Thai on a Sunday night. We had previously visited this restaurant and were just as satisfied on our return. I ordered the pad Thai with a level 2 spice, which turned out to be significantly spicier than my last visit, but I understand that the heat can vary. Next time, I think I'll stick to level 1. We also had fried spring rolls as an appetizer, accompanied by some hot Jasmine tea while we waited for our main courses. During our last visit, we enjoyed the mango and (I think) coconut milk for dessert, which was absolutely delicious! It felt more like a dessert but was refreshing and light at the same time. We will definitely return!

This is a charming little restaurant that offers fantastic food. They can adjust the spiciness of their dishes to suit your preference, ranging from level 1 (barely spicy) to level 5 (extremely spicy). My partner and I typically enjoy a spiciness level of 2, but everyone has their own tastes. It's worth noting that even within a single dish, the level of spiciness can differ. The dish featured in the photo is the Pineapple Tangerine Chicken, served with rice.

This has been my favorite Thai restaurant since I retired and came back to Hawaii seven years ago. I visited again tonight, and I was thrilled to find that the green papaya salad is just as delicious as I remember, along with the Penang curry with pork. Keep up the great work!
