We haven’t been here in at least 15 years. Figured we were due. Very disappointed. We didn’t want the busy weekend fair with the singing. Just a quiet dinner. The inside decor looked about the same, dated, and in need of some repairs/touch-ups, but we weren’t concerned about that. Service was good/average. No issues there. But the foodis where it was a disappointment. We ordered two entrees, the house Braciole, and chicken Vesuvio. I've lived in the area 20 years and tonight was the first time trying. I ordered for pickup and chatted with owner. Such a nice lady; I was praying I'd like the food because she was so nice. Well, everything was delicious! My husband loved his mushroom risotto(I had a few bites and agree...very tasty) also had baked clams and ribs. All great! I hope more people keep these Mom and Pop places alive. You just don't get the warm service and great food at most places anymore. We will be back to dine in.
I order some food for Xmas eve and picked it up. The food I got was lasagna and baked mostaccioli and both very bland. I guess I expected more from an Italian restaurant. Just surprised to spend what I did and get food I had to add seasoning to it. Won’t Cater there again. Just not flavor in the food and the sauce very average Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner
We were there in the off-hours between lunch and dinner. Service was outstanding. We had a conversation with the waiter and could tell how happy and proud he was working at Tony Spavone's.
