I read so many conflicting reviews about this restaurant, which eventually my curiosity fired up and wanted to ascertain the truth personally. Our experience started with a warm welcome and continued with fast and attentive service, and excellent food. The prawn crackers as we already read about them were exquisite.The gentleman who was waiting on us- actually I think that he was the owner- warned us, that the dishes we ordered are very spicy. I see the reviewers are divided on the quality of this food. First of all, we ate in so I can't comment on any delivery problems. Secondly, although we live locally there is plenty of parking near this restaurant if you turn off Pittwater Road onto Delmar or use the Stony Reserve parking lot which is only a block away. Because there is so much construction going on in Dee Why parking can be a real problem but not here.It seemed that the owner waited on us which was probably a matter of luck. We decided to try Top BBQ restaurant due to all the good reviews on TA. Unfortunately we didn't experience the same . What was most upsetting was the TV was blaring & the staff basically fixed to the screen to watch The Voice. We had to ask for it to be turned down as it was really unsettling trying to dine with TV on. If we wanted to watch TV we would have stayed home ! The dishes were tasty but nothing special. We actually couldn't wait to leave. Staff were friendly but really didn't give care about good service. My hubby had to walk across the road to the pub to get some ice for my drink as the restaurant didn't have any.
Our first time ordering here was a poor (as per past review) experience, but we always believe you can just get a one off bad experience and it is worth giving places at least a second chance, which we now have.I am glad we did as the food was very good across 5 out of 6 dishes.Delivery was quick.We'd highly recommend the szechuan prawns.However the one disappointment was the lamb pancakes, they are not great and not something we'd order from here again.Worth a try if you are local to the area.
The food here is better than most would expect of Chinese. The food is tasty and fresh and take the word of the staff for recommendations. I recommend the boneless duck in pepper or the szechuan prawns, or just get both... It's now on my regular visit list.
We visited here because the hengfa was closed. I think this was even better. Decor looks a bit rough round the edges but the food was great. Thankfully they also deliver takeaway to manly so this is now our first choice for takeaways too!

Place a phone order last night and was given a 1 hour window and we had to ring after 75 mins. Food arrived at the 90min Mark. Yes,it was worth the wait. Very good,yum...and good value. Will order earlier next time.
