We were not lucky. Surely the pizzas are good. Let me explain. We ordered a pizza directly from their website. We asked to add olives in addition to the ingredients already on the chosen pizza. The chef did not understand. He thought we only wanted olives as an ingredient?!! So we picked up our pizza 30 minutes after ordering on their website. Walked back to our hotel room 10 minutes away. Discovered that we only had cheese and black olives... We went back. They apologized. Added all the planned ingredients on top - pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, etc. Put more cheese on top and recooked it. It was frankly not very good to eat. It looked more like a sandwich than a pizza. The confused...
My go to pizza spot. I don't like the name, (NYPD... in Philly?! but I can overlook it. If you're looking for the fancy trendy stuff with weird toppings and cute interior decor, this ain't it. If you're looking for a fresh, hot, traditional slice of pie that has great flavor and just the right thinnest and crispiness, THIS IS IT! Their grandma pizza ain't bad either! Def worth popping on for a slice, you won't regret it.
The bill didn’t match the prices that was on the menu. Was told afterwards that the prices changed. How can you bill anyone prices that aren’t on your menu. Doesn’t make sense. They never catered to our reservation because there was no need to, the restaurant was empty. I don’t see why they are on open table. May have to stop looking on Open Table if they are going to provide 1star restaurants like this one.
So I went here to grab dinner for my son and I. I knew they had good pizza in the past, so I wanted to try it again. I ordered a white pizza with broccoli, and my pizza was so doughy in the center that I had to put it back into the oven. And on top of everything, it was 20 dollars for 6 slices. I definitely won't be coming here again.

The pizza at this restaurant is fantastic. I have been coming here for over 30 years and have never found one that tastes better. The service is also very good.
The pizza may not be as perfect as real New York pizza, but it is pretty darn good. I would definitely return whenever I am in Philadelphia again.
Requested for red sauce and they followed through. Pizza was fireeeee, came hot and fresh! So delcious with humongous slices. Enjoyed it so much!
