I had my first dining experience at Torchy's and was really impressed by the quality of the food and the speed of service. It was peak lunch hour, and I was uncertain about what to order, but the gentleman at the register was very helpful in explaining the menu. I ended up choosing the Republican and the Trailer Park tacos, and they were enormous! Although the taco shells could be a bit larger to accommodate all the fillings, both tacos were fantastic. I'm already thinking about my next visit. I want to try the chips and queso next time. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable, so my meal didn’t break the bank.
I visited Torchy's on Wednesday and found the atmosphere to be relaxed, as it wasn't very busy at all. There were only a few patrons in the lobby. I ordered queso and chips with brisket added to the queso, along with a chicken burrito. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed when I got home after waiting about 15 minutes for my food. I discovered that there was no brisket in my queso, despite having paid for it, and my burrito was missing both sour cream and guacamole. Living in Kentucky, I couldn't just go back to the restaurant, so I had to accept my loss.
I gave the food a rating of 3 stars mainly because I’m not a fan of spicy dishes. Even items that were suggested to me as mild felt quite hot to my taste. I suppose the name, TORCHY'S, should have warned me about the heat level I was in for. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was very clean. Overall, I would recommend this place if you enjoy spicy food.
We visited Torchy’s for the first time on Saturday. It was recommended by a friend who lives in Texas. The food was outstanding!! Best questions queso anywhere!! Amazing tacos bursting with flavor!! Will be back for sure!

Best queso in town. Tacos are decent, and well thought out. Execution on tacos leaves some room for improvement. Still really enjoy going.
