Birthday party of three for dinner. I saw Scottish Salmon on the dinner menu, which is a rarity on the West Coast due to the distance from Scotland for fresh fish. I asked the server if it is real Scottish Salmon and she said “yes!”So I ordered it, but got regular salmon, it was very well prepared by the kitchen staff but it is no authentic Scottish Salmon which has a distinctive flavor, sweet smoky flavor that is so unique. If your chef is knowledgeable, it cannot be mistaken. If the purveyor for the restaurant represented this salmon as Scottish, it would be false labeling, something that is very common today, substituting a cheap fish for an expensive fish. The food was really good, I tried the prime rib dip for the first time, (I never had it before) and it tasted really good! They even cooked the meat well done like I had asked them to. Plus the waiter was really nice and had provided such good service. The place was very clean and it was definitely worth the wait
Always a good time at Nicks. We were celebrating my birthday and my girlfriend hadn 't eaten there in quite a while. One bite in she asked why don 't we come here more often? My husband and I are regulars so happy to dine here for any occasion.
Excellent brunch today, as always. The food is prepared consistently with quality throughout. The staff, from our server Spencer to the front of the house managers, provide guests a wonderful dining experience.
