Our actual order consisted of yellowtail sashimi (10 pieces), 5 pieces each of tuna and salmon sashimi, tamago sashimi, an Ufo roll, and spicy tuna inari. We received everything except for the spicy tuna inari. Instead, the receipt described it as spicy tuna nori, which doesn’t exist on the menu; they substituted it with a spicy tuna roll. It wasn’t terrible, but I wish they had a clearer number for that item on the menu.
When it comes to freshness, the quality was excellent—definitely on par with what you’d expect from Chelsea Market. However, there was some confusion regarding the Ufo roll; it was supposed to have eel, but I couldn’t tell if the eel was mixed in with the spicy tuna on to...
This was my first experience ordering from this restaurant, which I found online since I work nearby. Unfortunately, it left a terrible first impression. I’m not sure if it was Walter’s first day, but he got my order wrong. I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for it to be fixed, and since I was on my lunch break, that was frustrating. I understand that mistakes happen, but when I finally got to work, I discovered there was hair in my food! That completely ruined the meal for me. I won't be returning to Syosset Seafood again!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Have only bought the fresh seafood (as opposed to the prepared foods), and have always had a good experience. Only wish is a bigger selection of that side of the house whole fish, etc.Would recommend!
This restaurant offers incredibly delicious fish. We celebrated two special occasions there and had them steam lobsters for us, which were absolutely outstanding! Everything we tried was fresh, and the staff was very helpful.

Both Syosset Seafood and Joes Sushi and sashimi have the best quality fish and everything is very fresh. I highly recommend joes sushi platter and catering. Also the shrimp platter were magnificent. 10 out of 10. Top tier
I ordered the lobster bake for 4 people yesterday. It was a lot of food and tasted amazing. Great value and top notch quality. It was a great birthday meal! Looking forward to doing this again.
