We were invited to Town and Country today which was a lovely little cafe nestled in a nursery. I couldn’t believe how busy it was particularly given it is quite a sizeable space. I enjoyed a chai latte as we awaited our order.<br/ <br/ I went for my typical smashed avocado which was very enjoyable and my dining companion had the beef burger which looked very appetising. This doesn’t come with chips so make sure you order them separately if you are feeling hungry.<br/ <br/ Our third dish today was the yummy French toast with a perfectly poached pear. We recently visited a charming cafe in Balwyn that has been catering to families and friends for the past 6 years, serving fantastic breakfast and lunch dishes. The cafe has a beautiful exterior and plenty of seating inside. We particularly enjoyed the French Toast with poached pear, which was a standout dish. The Pork Croquettes topped with eggs Benedict were also delicious. The Breakfast Brioche was another great option. We highly recommend a visit to this cafe soon. The staff is lovely, and it's clear that the business is run with passion and friendliness.
Just had coffee and cake. Scones, jam and cream were wonderful. Although food and coffee were nice the place could do with a good clean. Staff behind the food counter could have been nicer they seemed more interested in serving people placing a take away. Could do with a sign advising it is table service.
