OMG I have found my vice!. So my wife and I went here last night for dinner with 4 other couples. Truthfully, we live in Great Neck and I never got the opportunity to eat here but wanted to for awhile. Let me start by saying we are fans of IL Toscano in Douglaston which has been a local staple fav for years. However, we have found a new favorite!!! Our entire party raved about the food here. So we had attended a party here a few weeks ago and the food was so good (especially for a party) that we decided to come back with the family. I have to say (we are not easily impressed) that this little place was a great find! The food, gravy, and service were all really good! Upon arrival the owner sat us at a great table next to the fireplace. We had ordered several apps and they were all amazing! They had fresh burrata cheese which is hard to find and the calamari was one of the best (to memory) that I have ever tasted. Gotta Love this place. Ok so I had driven past this place a million times and never went in! Last Saturday night we were invited there with two other couples. Typically we go to IL Mulino (which I think is over-rated and way over-priced) and Cippollini which is a scene but offers a decent meal. I was really pleasantly surprised by the service and their attention to detail! The wait staff and owner-Sal were a pleasure to meet! I was even more surprised with this food. This little villa off the beaten path and out of the limelight has to be one of the best if not the best italian meal I have ever had! I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT-Just made another reservation
Trattoria DeLicious!!!. I have been a fan of Trattoria DiMeo's for MANY years now. The food is ALWAYS delightful and fresh. I like to start with the baked clams and portabello mushrooms! The atmosphere is very pleasant and comfortable. The staff is very polite and professional as well. The menu is almost endless as there are so many dishes to choose from. Make sure to leave plenty of room for dessert too!!! Many are made right there on the premises and are to die for! My personal favorite is the cheesecake.....YUM YUM!!! If you havent been there yet do not deprive yourself any longer.......... turn off the computer, get in the car and go already!!!
