We had visited this restaurant in the past and did not have a good experience, but decided to give it another chance during restaurant week. Despite making a reservation through Open Table for an outdoor table, we were informed upon arrival that outdoor seating was first come, first served. We were eventually seated outside, very close to the train tracks. The food was average at best and not worth the $40 per person fixed price for Ambler Restaurant Week. My corn and crab custard appetizer was overcooked and burned, and the entree I chose (as the ratatouille could not be made without cheese) was a strange choice for July – a brisket pot roast with root vegetables. We visited during Ambler Restaurant Week, but unfortunately, the restaurant was not able to keep up with the demand. Despite reserving an outside table, it was not ready upon our arrival. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, and then another 10 minutes before a busy server noticed us and provided menus. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed for a Friday night. However, the food was worth the wait, with nice pacing and great selections for Restaurant Week. The presentations were also impressive. We had to sit outside as the interior of the building, an old SEPTA station, was too noisy for a conversation.

We dined al fresco and enjoyed the ambiance of the greenery and passing trains. We were so happy to see the cayenne infused olive oil is back! Chef hit a home run with our seafood dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

We typically visit this restaurant in Ambler often, but this time we went during restaurant week so the menu was more limited than usual. However, the food was still delicious as always.
