AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN, they employ malicious car parking tactic of which will result in you receiving a big fine, even over staying the car park by 1 minute. Was ok. I've had better fish and chips from South Shields. In spite of that, the chips were still ok and the venue is fabulous and also great value. Worth visiting. There's some good offers on for kids and OAPs as well. Having to pay for parking and I was 10 minutes over my stay. Turned into a ccj etc. Disgusting
a supermarket fish chips restaurant. it is also great for children parties. we had a very nice birthday party for 6 years. many options to choose from. I don't like a diligent so I was pleasantly surprised with floured fish. the location is beautiful and they have live entertainment at the weekend and in the evening. we really enjoyed their classic jazz. definitiw deserves the 5 stars!
Although not everything is available gluten free, most of the key menu items are. The GF batter isn't quite as crispy as the standard beer batter. On the plus side, they offer GF vinegar, although their GF tartare sauce is Heinz sachets, rather than the homemade tartare sauce offered to other guests. Overall, a great setting and good for GF fish and chips.
It is not worth the risk i.e. i over stayed my car park which resulted in me receiving a 60 GBP fine. most businesses allow you to redeem cashback on car park purchases, or waver the costs, THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT, it seeks to earn additional revenue via their car park, which has been leased out. i will not be going for fish and chips again Book a table now
They do GF fish and chips as they have a separate fryer. However as I discovered one rainy bank holiday Monday after waiting in the queue for a good 15 mins they don’t serve GF on bank holidays as they used the other fryer, so if you want GF fish and chips on a bank holiday you won’t get them.
The restaurant is located inside Spanish City, offering a fantastic setting. The gluten-free fish and chips were delicious, with a variety of other options available. The presence of a pianist playing during the meal added to the overall enjoyable experience.
The service was excellent! They promptly inquired about any allergies and had a variety of gluten-free options on the menu. The chips were particularly tasty, and my daughter with celiac disease had no issues dining there.
