The Treschers hotel is among the top in Titisee. The receptionists are professional, the waiters friendly but busy as the hotel is often fully booked. So if you think about a booking, do it very very much in advance (over a month)! The rooms are good and we recommend to book one with lake side view and balcony. With regard to the Restaurants (they have different ones), the kitchen is ok, but we do not rate it top. It may well be that as the place is usually fully booked that the staff is just a bit overloaded with too many tasks to handle. My family and I only stopped here for a coffee and some black forest gateaux but rarely have I seen a more miserable and boorish waitress. Ignored us at first, then begrudgingly served us, food/drinks were OK but the manner in which they were served said to me "drink up and clear off".So when the bill came we counted out all our loose change, which was a lot, to the exact amount and handed it to her. She took a while to count it then stuffed it in her change purse and stormed off in a huff.I tip as well as any customer when it's deserved but for service like that - no chance....
Late/post season visit to Titisee. End of the afternoon opted for drinks on the terrace at Treschers to enjoy the view and the late afternoon sun. Service friendly and relaxed. We asked about dinner. That was only served inside (as it cools down too much out on the terrace in Sept. ). There was room for us no problem. Mains are €20-30. Not cheap but cooked and presented with care. My steak was perfect. Service inside also relaxed and friendly (we speak reasonable German and that really helps I think). Drinks were very reasonably priced.
We had a reservation and the restaurant was empty but when they saw aour 4 pound dog (in its bag) they told us : No . The terrace of the restaurant (which has a nice view and on which I sat numerous times in the past) was closed so we had to leave. There was no reason to be rude or unprofessional, it's their place and their rules but a NO can be accompanied with charm and diplomacy which was not the case.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Room was ok with a small separate sitting area. A bit noisy though from people stomping around in the room above early mornings and the cleaning staff outside.Location is great and right next to the lake. Dinner at the hotel was not too bad, however food a bit bland.
We came there in the afternoon, selection of dishes to choose from was rather limited. Nevertheless we had a tasty fish and a soup, all accompanied with a wine. NIce service, prices above average.
Very good friendly and clean. Spa is pretty and Swimmingpool outside is GORGEOUS and has something for everyone. Chateaubriand was amazing the Best in a long time. I will come again soon.
This reastaurant has a good kitchen and serves great food. Altough we were expecting German style, they served almost a real fine dining experience with great meats, fish and deserts.

Had dinner in the hotel own restaurant, Very delicious and have menus for everybody’s choice ;) The service is very attending and the terrace with a lake view is a great plus!
We enjoyed an assortment of typical black forest tastes and had a good vine with it. The waitress was very nice and helpful, even with blankets when night fell.
