If y’all want the best and most authentic South Indian food (especially Kerala Food , head over here. Don’t bother wasting time with other places!I was absolutely astounded at the quality and quantity from this restaurant! Ikka and chechi run this restaurant extremely well, and their attention to detail is to be commended.Chatti Chor (Rice in a earthen pot with all the typical Kerala sides is quite new, even in the Kerala foodie community as, in Kerala, it only started making its resurgence a few years back! So I was pleasantly surprised to see this progressive malayali dish in the US, and it didn’t disappoint! The portion size was more than enough, and the taste just took me back to my moth...
We were craving for a good dosa and found this during our search. This was our first time to a kerala restaurant and we wanted to give it a try and experience a different South Indian taste.Location: it’s convenient and plenty of parking.Staff: nice folks, they treat you well.Food: we tried spring dosa, chola bhatura and few buffet items. I would say individually ordered items tasted lot better than buffet. I didn’t like the buffet much. Taste overall is good and can be tried for people who are looking for a different South Indian cuisine.Overall 3.5/5.
I went to this restaurant on a weekday around 8 pm and ordered panner fried rice. It took 40 mins for them to serve the dish, it was disheartening to see there was no panner in the dish and it's just a normal fried rice. I conveyed my concern to them and they took back the dish and returned it by garnishing the same dish with just 2-3 finely chopped panner. It was also evident that they made this dish with leftover rice not with basmati rice. I am adding this to the review as the owner of this restaurant asked for the reason in comment below.
The restaurant ambience is quite nice with authentic food. However we had a buffet however it seems dessert plates are provided for buffets which are so small that it won't fit more than a couple items in one round . Not sure if this is by strategy. Also the common problem with most Indian restaurants is the ambience , food etc are nice but the washroom is not well maintained . It's like our business is good, why worry about these things. This had quite dirty washroom for both men and women.
