Less healthier and more expensive than it used to be. Also used to have great workers that explained specifically how the whole “hot pot” process worked and walked us through the whole thing. Used to simultaneously be the healthiest place we knew of with the most helpful servers. Now it’s mediocre. We moved out of CA and came here once since, but it may not be worth our old opinion that it was the best experience available in the area anymore especially for my wife who has very particular dietary restrictions. The workers were not helpful with regards to that whatsoever; at best, unclear.

I was so excited to bring my friend here for the first time. I have fled the experience and quality of food. My friend said it was just very expensive top races. Our bill was over 100 for two of us and they were from many articles. The steps were neither explained nor were the ingredients and how they mix differently. He was too hot and mine was up enough. Try to take the soup home at the end and they give us 2 containers while they have always helped us in the soup bc pour the bowls are hot. Not sure it was just a night, but unfortunately I don't think we'll be back.
They take no pride of appearance in clothing choices(guy behind the counter was in basketball shorts) nor of the place itself. Woman's restroom was out of order. The kegorater didn't work so no draft beers. The door to the kitchen door was off the hinges. Its just signs of the place being mismanaged. You really have to question if there are this many things I can see that aren't taken care of, what's happening in that kitchen. The food itself was ok but for that price point you expect it to be nicer than your local hole in the all.
Would give a no star based on service me and my family went I. To this place it was empty although me and my family got a girl who clearly didn’t want to be there bad attitude throwing plates and took her bad day out on us food was good but I hope she gets some training on how to treat people she spoke Spanish and had a hat on ordered a few things and some never came and her response was stuff happens no sorry no nothing it was unreal Book a table now
We used to go to this restaurant before the ownership changed. Service was very slow and most of the servers were not properly trained. The restaurant wasn’t crowded but it still took a long time to get our food. They were out of several entrees and beverages. When we got our bill, they didn’t remove the beverages that they never served us. It was a frustrating experience. We really liked this restaurant before the ownership changed.
I ordered the steamed chicken bowl. It was absolutely bland, the menu said it would come with a variety of steamed veggies but the dish was literally just plain white rice with boiled shredded chicken on top. It had no seasoning at all, the sesame sauce was horrible. They charged $17 for a dish that was worth maybe $3 on a good day. Not going again. Would not recommend.
Inside was quite hot, my parents sweated to eat hotpot and ramen. They ran out many things that are considered quite important for a restaurant, especially for a hotpot/shabu place. But the hot pot broth is very clean, fragrant and very good.
my first time and I was instantly impressed by the bar layout and hot pots sitting at each. I had a rice bowl with huh, which was very fresh. the server were informatiw and helpful to explain all my decisions. it is not a cheap chicken dish. Book a table now
Server was great and the food was yummy. TVs mounted on walls but no cable and no TV to watch. This has been an issue here for years even with previous owner. Lose the TVs or have them add value.
Obscenely overpriced and underwhelming Shabu Shabu.
