This place is very openly ageist. If you are under 30, I would highly consider going somewhere else. They put all the younger couple in tables side by side and older folks in tables for 4. We went for restaurant week and the food was pretty bad. We got the wine pairing and the waiter wouldn’t tell us what the wine was, so we had to keep asking him went he brought it out. He seemed as though he did not care for our table. Overall, wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
Trummers never disappoints. We asked for some custom drinks and the bartender was glad to make something special for us. The server Justin was great, we tried the restaurant week menu and everything was delicious. We rediscovered Trummers about 10 years ago during restaurant week, and it's become a regular in our rotation. Great food great people and a wonderfully different selection of food every time we go. Cheers to a great history and a wonderful future!
Had lunch during Restaurant Week. The meal was wonderful. Good selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, especially for restaurant week. All of the dishes came in generous portions, were beautifully presented, and tasted incredibly good. Restaurant Week meals are often lacking, in my experience. Not at Trummer's. Everything was as good as their full-priced offerings. I was very pleased with the service and the food.
The food and service at Trummer's is outstanding. Everyone in my group of 4 had a delicious meal which was enjoyed with an excellent bottle of wine recommended by Tony. Our server, Martin, took fantastic care of us and was immediately responsive to our needs. We will return again in the near future. Management should be proud of the team that they have hired. Have been to Trummer’s before, but their Restaurant Week brunch was uniformly disappointing. I had the chestnut soup, (like a work of Japanese art, but blah), the shrimp and grits, and the chocolate chip bread pudding. I ate only a little of each, and unusually for me, didn’t bring any home, since everything was bland.
My wife and I often choose Trummer’s to celebrate various occasions because the ambiance is lovely and quiet, the food choices are creative and delicious, and the service is efficient and gracious. This last visit, to take advantage of Restaurant Week deals, was no exception. A very nice evening out!
Trummer's has a very talented kitchen. The chestnut soup was attractive, the schnitzel enormous, the vegetarian strudel elegant, the butterscotch tart and bread pudding filling, and all were delicious. The dining room is open and airy.
