I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere is lovely—very casual and relaxed, perfect for a blue-jeans kind of outing. I ordered the fried shrimp with fries, and I was impressed; the shrimp were crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside, practically melting in my mouth. Always great. Leave the state last year and really miss this little jewel. Last week stopped while in the area and tried the English fish and chips. We usually get large combo plates, but didn't want any remnants. The best I ever had, huge portions and still had leftovers! Also baked tomatoes!!!!! Perfectly done. My mouth pours!
The food was excellent. Our server seemed a bit new, but she was very friendly and efficient, making us feel welcomed as if she was genuinely happy we were there! While some might not appreciate the atmosphere, we really enjoyed it. For me, great service is far more important than a fancy tablecloth!
