Variety of tasty food options for all palates. All kinds of meats, fruits and veggies. Menu constantly changes so the food doesn’t get boring. Employees who clean, serve and cook are friendly and hardworking.Only knock is inconsistency with how food is prepared, mainly pizza and meat. Some days it’s on, some days it’s off and inedible.Overall, the convenience and great food options make this an above average college dining hall.
Wow. This place just genuinely sucks. If you have any capacity to cook your own meals, or purchase them elsewhere, a dining plan is not worth it (unless you can go to north campus. Their dining hall is actually very good). The south diner is incomparable to any other dining area on campus. The food is always the same. Nothing is ever stocked. I actually get irritated every time I have to eat here.
I am staff at UMD and eat here at least once a week. It is a college cafeteria...but has great options for all tastes and health tendencies. I like it better than the bigger newer one on campus for its coziness and efficiency in finding what you want.

After my first semester at College Park, I can say I have had a pleasant dining experience here. There are a variety of dishes to choose from, and the staff are very friendly. I look forward to more dining here in my later years.
The dining hall is really good. The only reason why I give 3 stars is because the cleanliness of the utensils is not it. Bring your own utensils if you can, otherwise, your stomach may hunt you down afterwards.
Better than most other college dining halls. It's got a lot of variety while also providing the usuals every day. There's also a whole other section with a Mongolian Grill Roma Salads Paninis
Much worse then the North Campus diner. Food was over cooked over salted and the pizza had more oil and grease than cheese. Book a table now
