Coming from rural Australia to the Inner East of a major city is always a journey to another planet. Even more so as I stopped at random for lunch in Kew. It was only as I perused the menu that I realised that this was a vegetarian cafe. Perhaps the name would have alerted me had I troubled to look at it.However, welcoming the adventure I ordered the Hash Benedict. I declined the offered vegan version (what kind of Eggs Benedict has no eggs?)The creation of hash brown, mushrooms and two nicely poached eggs; topped with a fine Hollandaise and sundry green oddities would have been good if it had been served on a warm plate. Runny cold egg is not appetising, so I was driven to eat faster than I...
A fantastic menu with much to offer. Fusion food with Japanese and Italian influences. Everyone in our group found the food fabulous. Presentation was so good people were saying "I'll have what she's having." I had the sizzling tofu with mushroom sauce served on a hot stone with carrots , brocholli , corn cob and capsicum. Wonderful rich flavour and light texture , I am going back to have it again.Those who chose the vegetarian lasagna loved it and everyone had fun checking the wobble on the coconut with tropical fruits pannacotta. And don't forget the legendary cupcakes. Staff were friendly and attentive. Definately be doing it all again sometime soon.
Although not a vegetarian myself I went with others who were to try out this cafe restaurant in a busy shopping area near Leo's in Kew. I think the cuisine might best be described as fusion in style. Two of us had the haloumi filled tacos, which seemed an improbable combination but which worked well. The steamed bun with crispy Peking bean curd was also delicious and the bun very light. Another member of our party had the truffle omelet she said was very nice. We finished with a shared mille-feuille which had a delightful custard filling with berry fruits. The menu is interesting and the service was pleasant.
I come here just to have the vanilla slice, and have a main meal before it! Some of the meals are vegetarian, others have a vegan option. The portobello mushroom burger and vegetarian lasagna are nice, but the vanilla slice is the bomb! There's ample parking nearby and the ambience is good too.

This cafe has a large variety of meals to please any vegetarian or vegan. We are frequent visitors.....trying something new each time. To date, we have not been disappointed.
I have been to V Series and it never fails to impress me. The food is great and the staff are wonderful. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Fantastic vegetarian lasagna and spaghetti with pesto. This is a unique restaurant and quickly becoming one of my favourites.
Food very good my daughter in a devout vegan and loves this place for the quality and variety of food available well done
