Hadn't been here for ages and loved it again. Menu has changed somewhat and the Olives and Dips board was excellent for the two of us as an entree. The olives in particular were really tasty. My calamari main course was tender and cooked to perfection, although too big a serve for me. The ricotta cannoli with my coffee is a standout...perfect way to finish a meal and Via Condotti has got it perfectly. Won't wait so long to return...loved it.
Having driven past for months, I finally found a reason to visit and I was not disappointed. The place was humming on arrival, with no spare tables, and also doing a lively take-away service for pizza. The menu does not surprise, but the food was very tasty and well executed. Portions were generous and service attentive and friendly. Prices were also very reasonable for both food and drinks. Well worth a second or third visit!
We ordered take away pizzas Ortolana and Marinara. They were beautifully made with large king prawns, mussels in their shell as were the puppies on the Marinara. It also included Calamari and scallops all succulent and tender. The Ortolana had grilled eggplant,roasted capsicum, potatoes and spinach which was very tasty with a thin base, but thick on the outside. Very quick taking only about ten minutes in the wood fired oven.
It's hard to believe that this bustling restaurant has only been open for a month! It's packed and you'll need a reservation if you plan to dine here on a Friday/Saturday night. And the reason is clear - they serve up an excellent range of starters, main courses, pastas, pizzas and desserts with quality to boot! The pizzas are thin and crispy, just like in Italy, and their Veal (main) and Marinara Pasta are to die for! Book a table now
Lovely Italian restaurant close to home. The staff are very welcoming and attentive and the menu has a varied selection. The food is great and the prices are very good. I’m happy to recommend Via Condotti to people who are looking for a cosy environment with delicious food and great service.
Via Condotti has great Italian food and a buzzy atmosphere. I went with two tennage children and 80 year old father and we all enjoyed ourselves very Minch.There is a great variety of authentic Italian dishes and some wonderful photos on the wall that make you feel very at home.
A little bit of Rome in North Balwyn. Tony, the host, greets all guests at the door with a friendly smile. The pizzas are delicious and the wine range is affordable yet extensive.
