Good looking restaurant in a vibrant area. We went on Valentines weekend so I was expecting a bit of chaos. It was a business dinner for me and they had spots available so we went there. My first visit was really great, this second visit (maybe because of the holiday) was awful. Food was OK at best. We were seated an hour later. Waited at the bar and couldn't even get a glass of wine for that whole hour we waited. First we waited a looong time, then they didn't have our wine and never cared to come back in time to offer something else. So we dry-waited, got seated, waited some more and we got a few orders wrong. By that time we were starving. Had our bottle of wine and left without desserts....
Unfortunately, from the start of our meal, we waited. We waited for someone to take our drink order. And then didn’t get our drinks for another 20 minutes. And we waited to order food for another 20 minutes. And then waited another 20 minutes for another round of drinks. Our bruschetta and salads were great but everything else was mediocre. There were barely any desserts listed on the menu... We ordered the rice pudding and 2 of the gelato flavors. Somehow all 3 completely lacked flavor. Definitely won’t go back there!!
everyone in our party enjoyed their food, especially pasta dishes, once it arrived. service was slow and rather indifferent. the staff was not familiar with the wines on their list and it seemed to take rather a long time to bring a bottle to the table. dessert menu is uninspired. the noise level borders on unpleasant. though not as loud as many places these days, it was often difficult to understand the conversation unless the speaker was directly across the table.

Great restaurant! Definitely a crowd pleaser. I brought my parents while they were in town but I have also had a business dinner here. Great food and fantastic service. The pastas are fabulous! Special thank you to Viale dei Romano for staying open during in the COVID madness. Wish you the best. Also love the inside bar.
The restaurant and the bar were completely empty when we got there, which made me feel like we might not know anything. The food was good, but the pasta was cold until the time we got, and I didn't eat it or my date. Although he commented, the pizza was good.
