We last visited the Waldegrave in late May 22 when the food was delicious and freshly prepared with lots of option available. We visited today and the food is now below average deep fried or reheated pub grub. No vegan or healthy options available, and only one vegetarian option because they didn’t have any vegetable curry or “meat free chilli”. What a shame the food has gone down hill. I think the pub may have changed management since our last visit.
The setting is good very comfy and pleasent . The menu is not exciting and not many choices of anything special so basically pub grub which I didn't expect. Young girls serving were pleasant but not very attentive. Also as its a country pub dogs...
Came for the Wednesday night burger deal this week. Food was great generous portions with a good pint and glass of wine included in the price. Sat by lovely open log fire. Service very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back
I love visiting the Waldegrave, and this Saturday was no different. The setting is beautiful; I love the decor and open fires. The staff are friendly and the food never fails to deliver.
