I bought some cakes for dessert, including 2 vanilla slices, 1 caramel doughnut, and 1 cream iced finger from Waterfields. Unfortunately, the cream iced finger had currants in it, which I dislike, so I had to throw it away. The vanilla slices were also flavorless with a bland "vanilla custard" and a powdery residue in our mouths. My partner found the caramel doughnut to also be tasteless. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I do not plan on purchasing cakes from Waterfields again.

I purchased pies from the hot counter only to find that they were cold. The crown cob I bought was stale as well. I attempted to contact Waterfields online to express my dissatisfaction but after typing my message and contact details, I was directed to enter a captcha code which was not accepted. My details were then thrown out. This seems like a way to prevent complaints from reaching them.

I frequently visit this restaurant. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. The staff are very helpful and friendly, providing information on ingredients for allergies and preferences. As someone who works in catering, I would gladly recommend this bakery.
