We have visited Wayne Steakhouse multiple times over the past few years. They consistently cook their steaks and filet mignons to our preferred medium rare doneness. We appreciate that the meat is lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, a detail they always get right. Although the lobster bisque recipe has been changed, we couldn't quite put our finger on what was different this time compared to previous visits. Normally we love this place and save it for special occasions due to the price point. We made a reservation for Mother’s Day and were very disappointed to be seated right next to the door (on a 45 degree day). It was a terrible table. We asked to switch but they said they held this table of 4 because of our reservation and nothing else was available to us. Well, a table of 6 sat empty the whole time we were there and we watched other tables of 4 seated after us. I get that someone needs to take the crappy table but if I had known when making the reservation I would have gone somewhere else. I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened 10 years ago! It has never been this loud before. I understand that you had a large sports gathering with 70 or 80 guys, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. There were 6 of us dining and we couldn't even hear each other talk! It was supposed to be a birthday gift for my husband, paid for by our kids, but we couldn't enjoy joking and reminiscing about their childhood. There were only 11 women in the entire restaurant and 3 of them were with us. The kids were disappointed.

My husband and I both ordered the filet mignon. The meat was extremely tender and we enjoyed the leftovers just as much! We were especially pleased that the restaurant allows you to bring your own wine. The staff was very attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Eating here is always a special treat for us. Making reservations through OpenTable was convenient and easy.
We experienced discrimination based on our party size at this restaurant. Despite being a party of two, we were forgotten about and had to ask three times for water. The calamari was overcooked and the service was lacking. The waiter seemed to only care about his two large parties. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
