Seit dem 1.10.20 ist dieses Haus unter neuer Leitung und die alten negativen Bewertungen dürften sich damit wohl erledigt haben. Wir verbrachten vier Nächte im Hotel Messerschmidt und speisten an zwei Abenden hier. Der Service nicht durchgängig perfekt( etwas unterkühlt, Aperitif wurde nicht angeboten, erst auf Nachfrage), aber Herr Fatih sehr professionell, höflich, freundlich. Er sorgte an beiden Abenden für die perfekte Weinbegleitung. An ersten Abend: Saibling Tatar und Wachtel als Vorspeise, beides sehr gut, auch für das Auge. Hauptgang nochmals Saibling und Perlhuhn Brust, beides geschmacklich und qualitativ einwandfrei. Schönes Dessert und nicht auf der Karte: Eine schöne Käseauswahl....
The hotel is an upscale restaurant with German cuisine. I recommend her soups and the duck. Her sorbets were also fantastic. We were there during a 10-day trip to Germany for a friend's birthday dinner and chose this place as a special dinner....They even put a candle in their dessert without asking us if they just picked up from the conversation that it was their birthday. Great experience. It is worth leaving the old town of Bamberg breweries to check it.
Kein Parkplatz, um wenigstens das Gepäck auszuladen Nutzung des öffentlichen Parkhauses unweit vom Hotel war bekannt und somit ok), Restaurant geschlossen, kein Barbetrieb, großer Frühstücksraum mit viel zu lauter Akustik, Zubereitungsmöglichkeiten für Heißgetränke im Hotelzimmer nur für Kaffeetrinker, ggf. mit Zucker, ohne Sahne. Zimmer freundlich, sauber, hell mit täglich 1 Flasche Mineralwasser. Alles in allem nicht ausreichend für ein 4 Sterne Hotel.
I was on my own and I took the regional menu.First, the apetizers were very fine and by courtesy of the house. Specially the lard with a taste of onions and the a sort of pie made of wild mushrooms.Afterwards came the a soup, the duck with a crispy skin and the dessert.The place is an old house very nicely decorated, makes you feel at home.Keep the good job!Price of the menu + 0,2l local wine was 45€. I think it's worth it!

the wine-restaurant messerschmitt has for a long time a good reputation in bamberg.It is known for its demanding Franconian cuisine, connected with a rich repertoire of noble france wines.You are feeding excellent, toomalman at the knifeschmitt the seasonal I-taps of good taste.
Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Das Ambiente, das Essen und der Service und auch der adäquate Preis. Der Gruß aus der Küche hervorragend. Der Waller war excellent, sowohl vom Geschmack als auch von der Art des Anrichtens, ebenso Hirsch und Nachspeise und auch der Wein. Weiter so!
Nach mehreren Jahren ist das alte Messerschmitt Restaurant in hervorragender Qualität wieder da. Das Gänsemenü am 1. Weihnaachtsfeiertag mit Weinbegleitung war hervorragend. Auch der Service kompetent, freundlich trotz voll besetztem Haus. Ein gelungener Abend, vielen Dank.
with a group of 8 people we enjoyed a menue in the garden with nice weather. the service is very friendly and accommodating. the food was great. the restaurant has a certain renovationunbgsstau and the area doesn't fit the great kitchen
