We had an early dinner at the Wig Pen before heading to the theater at the Hall for Cornwall. The meal was excellent, and my rosé wine was delightful. My husband mentioned that the beer was well-kept, particularly the Tribute; he needed to sample three pints just to be sure! They had only been open for three days, but the new owners were friendly and professional, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The pub has a beautiful, vibrant atmosphere, and we will definitely be returning. We highly recommend it!
Cosy, relaxed dinner with friends in the recently updated Wig Pen. What a fabulous pub. We had a cosy table right by the open log fire for dinner. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Cocktails were pretty and tasty. I enjoyed the monkfish Thai green curry which was delicious followed by the lemon meringue pudding. Friends loved the pork belly, oyster and brownie. A fun and relaxed evening loved the new décor, colours and atmosphere. Will visit again soon thank you.
just a short walk downhill from the main railway station you will find this small corner pub with raised beautiful beacons (**** mary oysters, small plates, (seared scallops to lick the plate clean! and attentive and accommodating staff! we had 6 luggage and drained handys. Thank you!
Delicious food, excellent location, and friendly staff. One piece of advice: when the specials are offered, make sure to ask about the prices. We didn’t, and we were surprised when the bill arrived. Despite that, it was still a fantastic experience!

Delicious ‘beer bites’ dishes for lunch, beautifully cooked and were a real treat, eaten sat out in the sun. Friendly enthusiastic staff, so nice to have this place an easy stroll from our offices. Will be back.
A trendy pub that welcomes everyone, regardless of age. The atmosphere is enhanced by some great smooth music, and the service is excellent. The food is fantastic too!
Fabulous, what a great experience. Its recently been revamped looks fantastic. Love it for just drinks or to go there to eat, great chef!
