I've been to Wild a few times, mostly on the weekends. The service is good and the coffee is nice. The bread is expensive - even by Perth standards! I also don't like paying $6.50 for a normally beautiful pork and fennel sausage roll that has been clearly over cooked. As you can see from my picture the baker was either not familiar with the oven or was napping in the job this particular morning.
I did mention to the service boy "things look a little over done this morning" to which he proceeded to charge full price for the burnt goods. After brekkie in Freo I decided to go for a stroll on South Terrace towards south beach in Fremantle dropped in at the Wild Bakery. Nice little bakery with lots of baked goodies on display. This place is popular as a stream of people came and went to buy their daily baked goods. I decided to go with the almond croissant, the filled doughnut, a crusty bread roll and a take-away long Mac.
I found the almond croissant good, but a little dense; I prefer them a little more delicate and flaky pastry as I had down the road not so long ago. While nearby, we decided to give Wild Bakery a go today. I gave them 4 out of 5 for now until I try their pastries next time - was eyeing on Mocha Croissant but didnt buy. Hubby's Pepper Steak Pie was well seasoned and tasted good. I had the Egg, Spinach & Cheese Brioche and loved it. Brioche was soft and fillings were nice. For dessert I bought their Cherry & Mascarpone Lamington which was great and not too sweet. Their coffees are using Gesha's coffee beans. Mocha was well balanced, good job Ms Barista. The girls were friendly and efficient. It's a cute bakery worth a visit when you're in the neighbourhood. Will go back one day.

It was a lovely surprise early in the morning on our way down south to find the Wild Bakery open. There were delightful aromas, wonderful looking breads and pastries. We choose three different kinds of bread and enjoyed them all over the 5 days away. Even better we were able to order coffee to send us on our way. Great bread and great coffee. A wonderful start to our day.
I love this place! Came here for the first time because I needed some good quality, fresh bread early in the morning- opening at 6am was a HUGE motivator for me to try this place out. Got a four seed loaf, fruit loaf and Turkish Orange cake ...everything was PERFECTLY YUM! Seriously, do yourself a favour and just GO to WILD BAKERY ????????
I love the hannas bread. Chocolate croissants and normal ones are also quite good, so it is the morning bun! I did not really like the mocha croissants as it is too piggish for my personal taste. Great coffee and service. I only buy my bread here (or to their other bakery in Cott). Love !
Absolutely delicious artisan sourdough bread. There's definitely a price tag to match but if you want outstanding bread then look no further. Did I mention that their bread is absolutely delicious? I did? Well, it is x 2.

best bread in Freo. Sourdough loaves are awesome as are the Baguettes. i am not a local but i travel to Freo for two things...Brekkie at Ginos and bread at Wild. If you love bread then you will love Wild.
