The only thing I enjoy at Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q in Largo is their pulled pork. I went back today to order dinner and wanted to get the two-meat platter with two sides. As I’ve mentioned before, the only meat I really like there is the pulled pork; I've tried the brisket a couple of times, but it was always too fatty and chewy. When I asked for both of my meats to be pulled pork, as I’ve done in the past, I was told that they "couldn't do both meats with pulled pork." I decided to leave. My family and I won’t be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. When I spend my money, I should be able to order what I like, not have employees dictate my choices.

I ordered the pulled pork platter, which came with mac and cheese, baked beans, and cornbread. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The pulled pork was dry, and the skin was soggy. The mac and cheese lacked flavor and tasted like it was from a microwaveable bag. The baked beans had an odd taste, and the cornbread was very dry with no real flavor. I really enjoy barbecue, but I don’t think I’ll be returning to this place. I was really looking forward to trying it, but it ended up being a letdown.
Treat yourself and check this place out! It's tough to find a great fast-casual restaurant in our area, but this one stands out. Forget about that other spot, "Sorry's" (Sonny's) - this place is far superior. The brisket is incredibly tender, the sides are tasty, and there's a wonderful selection to choose from! Plus, the staff is fantastic and the restaurant is spotless. If you happen to be there and Brandy takes your order, make sure to tell her Kay sent you!
I absolutely love this location! The BBQ brisket is consistently tender and delicious. Today, I had a small issue with my order (they forgot to mix it lean and wet), but Brandy and Ernest quickly remade my sandwich exactly as I like it, and it turned out perfectly tender and tasty! They always check on you after you place your order, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!
I had the Barnyard burger, and Chef Chuck did an outstanding job; it was perfectly seasoned. Gabrielle at the bar was very attentive and contributed to a great overall experience. This place is a fantastic BBQ spot and is kid-friendly. The okra was delicious as well. Overall, I give the food a 5 out of 5!

This restaurant is fantastic! I stopped by on my way back to Tampa and ordered the pulled pork, along with fried corn bites and collard greens. Everything was absolutely delicious!
The platter is quite generous and comes with two substantial side portions. The grape juice lemonade is absolutely delicious!
