We came here on Thursday 20th for a date- it was about 5pm on a hot sunny day, so we were the only people in. It is in the cutest little cellar in Preston, entirely candlelit. Really romantic atmosphere! It was an intimate and delightful experience. Selection of wines was fantastic, and we tried a few glasses we had never even heard of before. Staff were lovely and helpful, happy to chat about their recommendations. We didn't try their deli but we are already planning to come back to try some more wine, a cheeseboard, and to have a go at the quiz.
Can’t believe this place has been open 7 years and we’ve only just discovered it! Huge selection of wines to accompany the cheese, charcuterie and other tasty nibbles. Relaxed atmosphere with great music and all for very reasonable prices. Really friendly staff with an extensive knowledge about their fare. The owner, Dougie, is a top bloke, and Mick let my wife sample several wines before she chose a bottle. Thanks for your hospitality, fellas, we had a first-class evening and shall return soon!
I just love this place and love introducing friends and family here. When you walk down the stairs you could be anywhere in the world, a hidden cellar bar gem. Service is always great and if you like cheese then you’ll think you are in heaven! Definitely recommend the dipping pots. So good! They even play good music.
We hadn’t been to Winedown since covid hit and was very excited to return. Dougie as always was fantastic with his knowledge, recommendations and chatter. We will be back very soon for more cheese and wine!

Fantastic visit last Saturday, first time there and will not be the last. Had a range of sharing cheese/meat boards and amazing red wine. The staff and owner are fantastic. A must visit place
We enjoyed a very relaxed New Years Eve at Winedown. Superb wine, cheeses and crackers. Great atmosphere and fantastic service. Would highly recommend. This place is a must in Preston.

Love winedown. Really cosy atmosphere with candles giving ambience. Cheese pots excellent. Lots of good wine choices by the glass.
