Located above the historic town of Sempach, at the spot where the epic battle of Sempach took place in 1396 between the Habsburgs and the embryonic Swiss Confederation. This restaurant sits at a commanding point: good view into the mountains, easy to access by car or hiking trails in the area. In clement weather there is a large terrace and on weekends there frequently are musical presentations in the adjacent covered hall with a good stage. This time, we came just for a cup of coffee and a Rahm Kirschtorte, friendly service, good but heavy cake, good coffee. Definitely a place to stop at when in the area, particularly when the terrace with its special ambience is open.
