A lovely warm welcome, great choice of food, reasonably priced. We ate off the sandwich menu. I had the topside of beef with onion gravy, my wife had the pulled pork melt. Both came with a salad garnish and we ordered extra chips and onion rings. HOME MADE CHIPS ARE THE BEST!!!! I had apple and blackberry crumble with custard for dessert, my wife had to finish it for me. A great place with great food. We will return.
I visited for Father's Day and was really impressed by the accommodating team who helped us with seating for our 6-month-old daughter. The food was phenomenal, and I will definitely be returning. I ordered the steak and ale pie, which was overflowing with steak and offered at a great price. My wife had the lamb, and she couldn't stop raving about it either. I honestly couldn't find a single fault with the experience.
I enjoyed a lovely Sunday dinner at the restaurant. Although the staff was not particularly helpful, we were seated within about 15 minutes, which was worth the short wait. The food was excellent, and I would highly recommend it. I believe they will also be offering overnight accommodations later this year, and I would suggest staying here as the setting is beautiful.
