By day it is easy to walk past the entrance without realizing it was there but by night the cave is more welcoming. We had not booked but shown to the back is a smaller room at the back. Initially felt uncomfortable but actually the...room had character and secluded and we appreciated this to chat. Initially staff were attentive but as other reviews indicated communication between senior and younger staff was almost non existent. However , food arrived very quickly and we shared a starter which was very tasty and well presented, We had pork and beef main courses and both were excellent, although again we were short of a knife although promised one by waiter he obviously forgot and had to req...

we went with our French friends to xaya to eat an excellent lunch, all the dishes were great and the service was very good and friendly, and they spoke English although we had our own translators with us! the prices were quite reasonable in view of the quality of food...

I have booked this restaurant as I saw good prices on tripadvisor, but I was very disappointed with rice and saffran taken: there was absolutely no taste of saffron and I did not see it at all foie gras was selected dry meat...not available bad advice for wein

excellent local basque eating, beautifully presented by friendly professional staff who all speak English. try the lemon balm. You'll be glad you did it!
