My husband and I booked Xian for a Friday evening, just the two of us. The place was pleasantly busy but not overly crowded and we had a small table close to the rear of the restaurant. Our drinks were ordered straight away and the table already had prawn crackers to nibble on while you chose your meal. We were pleasantly surprised to be given glasses of iced water as well as our chosen drinks. The water was topped up over the duration of the evening as well. We chose a set meal C, and on asking for a substitution for one of the dishes, that wasn’t seen as a problem to change it. When my family I wanted to treat ourselves celebrate special occasions, Xian has been the place we would go we were never disappointed. We have made so many memories celebrated so much at Xian over the years. I am so pleased Xians is still going. We moved away in 1997 we still remember Xi’an as being our family favourite, (plus we stole an ashtray, because you could smoke in restaurants back in those days!-I know disgusting! and I still have it! My point is, it is our souvenir is in the same condition today as when we took it. (Sorry Xi’an!
