What do Yoshinoya and Panda Express have in common? They are both franchise restaurants—one offering Japanese cuisine and the other Chinese. Franchise restaurants serve a large volume of customers, often thousands each day. However, the quality of their food usually falls short compared to home-cooked meals or dishes from family-owned establishments. In such places, quantity often outweighs quality. One reason I steer clear of buffets is that everything tends to taste the same. Instead of dining at a franchise restaurant, I recommend supporting your local eateries.

I specifically asked for my food to be made without vegetables, but when I tried to get the staff’s attention, they brought my dish with the veggies anyway, without any explanation. The service was quite rude, and they messed up my order three times. The boba teas are not worth the price; most of the cup is just filled with ice, leaving the tea to fill only about a third of the cup. When I requested that they prepare the boba tea without ice, they told me it would only fill a third of the cup!
I don't know what was going on with them today but service was awful! We waited in the drive thru line for over 45min. I would have gotten out of line if there hadn't been cars behind me. Felt like they were making/cooking one order at a time. Finally got my order, came home only to realize the food portions they gave us was like a kid meal. I don't know if they were trying to compensate for the small portions, but they gave what seems like two handfuls of condiments. Very disappointed.
The lines are consistently too long during busy hours, and it's frustrating. It's time to give your employees proper raises and ensure they receive a living wage. Hire enough staff so that no one is overworked. Yoshinoya should be ashamed! Stop exploiting your hardworking employees before you face legal repercussions. I'm not the only former Yoshinoya employee from another location who is aware of these unethical practices by corporate. Book a table now
I've been visiting this restaurant for more than 35 years, and the customer service has always been excellent. It used to be a popular spot for me and my friends from key club and key wannettes. After participating in community service events like the Special Olympics, we would often stop by for a snack on our way home. The food has just improved over the years, and the service remains outstanding.
My recent experience at Yoshinoya was better than I remembered from my last visit. The food was actually pretty decent this time, especially compared to my first visit at another location where the rice was soggy. Overall, they did a much better job. However, it did take a while for the food to arrive, and the service was slow. I’m willing to cut them some slack since it was a busy period.
I paid for delivery and tips, but my order arrived with the wrong size and missing items. When I called to resolve the issue, they told me they couldn't send the missing item or issue a credit. My only options are to either pick it up myself, which undermines the point of paying for delivery, or they can include the missing vegetables in my next order if I contact customer service.
The food is, as always, delicious; however, the restaurant could benefit from some updates. The drive-thru service was quite slow—I had to wait over 20 minutes even though there were only three cars ahead of me. Furthermore, the staff wasn't very friendly. Book a table now
I ordered the beef dish, but it tasted more like a chicken nugget with some sauce, and honestly, it wasn't very enjoyable. I also tried their Udon, which was equally disappointing.
