Am sorry to disappoint i was not impressed with what this guys offer. The food for starters was sadly disgusting not to mention the waiting one and a half hour and it was not busy. The icing on this cake was how expensive this was. I ask why would you be so unique, but no pride or soul and fly your flag but with no passion and shame. Their only successful shop was the one in waterloo lunchbox although it had been let out to someone else. The guy their new what he was doing. he was passionate, with great care and almost like he new what we wanted as he changed his menu daily. His stuff was fresh and the cakes the best ever!! His staff and everyone that worked their where lovely and know the......

Whatcha talking about? this is fantastic!. Not sure what the reviewers from the 9/feb were on about but clearly they must have been in a different pub. In fact I myself was there ON the 9/Feb and the staff were as fantastic as ever. Their food is authentic and so yummy, the selection of beers are great and either the football is on or the 80's music videos fill the pub and puts a finishing touch on the great atmosphere. This is too far away to be my local pub by distance but I make an effort to come here. Hope the curmudgeon reviewers cheer up

Going here spoilt an otherwise lovely evening.. I've just been there. Lousy almost hostile welcome and the staff were way to keen to keen to throw everyone out at 10.30 (on a Thursday night turned off TV's that people were watching, stacking chairs around people that were sat at tables etc)! Staff were otherwise unwelcoming in the extreme (that's English for rude, obstructive and underserving of custom). I went because I've been studying German and thought it might be a great place to go after a hard evenings studying .... how wrong I was!

from outside it looks like a decent pub, it has airy rooms and a small garden. the menu is 70% veggie, with many vegetable options. the court that I was a little surprised with the lack of standard side/chips/kartoffels, but it was served on an interesting mix of steamed greens that would be a much better side than any standard. good place to convert people to plant-based cuisine, they can hope to eat meat when they decide to go there, but there is a great chance that they try something vegan

unfortunately not what I expected. no warm or friendly welcome from someone behind the bar, why is there a coffee shop in a pub? eating seems sown in oil, chips not done, and in addition they can see that the owner has no passion for the venue as he runs quite down, not what one would expect from the German management. typos in the menu write errors on the boards make it look worse. I hope it'll be up someday!

most food on the menu are half price during the day Monday-Thursday. some of the Alsace pizzas are decent and you can almost always get a table day. it can be a bit cold, so pack in winter. there seems to be a high personal turnover, but I'm not sure why.

the staff was not very helpful or welcoming. they were much more interested in having a good old chin-wag with another, although it was a snake. the place has expired. to cover it from the food, is quite bland. I would never come back. the beer was cold!

great Restraunt quality eat in a bar. 50% of the menu is vegetarian or vegan. the chef has created an interesting menu that restores classics (without meat substations) with great flavors.

Ate here 3 times during stay. Enjoyed the sharing plates. Tuna with bean a tomato salad a favourite. Staff were kind and welcoming. Will visit again.
