First time going in, was a bit dead, but kinda expected with covid. They have good customer service and plenty of options which is nice. However, the biggest issue is when it came to food quality and price. For 2 meals and a drink with 4 eggrolls, came to around $34. Pricey, but was expecting something good. When I got my food, they gave me the wrong rice, but they easily got it fixed, so no problems there. When I tried the egg rolls, it was off-putting. Something about the inside of it, like the chicken used, tasted weird. Can't put a specific taste to it, but it didn't taste right. Without a doubt, this is the best place for Asian cuisine in Roswell. I constantly find myself craving their potstickers; the accompanying sauce is the perfect match. The food is consistently fresh and made to order. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried, but lately, I can't resist the Veggie Melee beef dish because it’s packed with delicious vegetables. Elizabeth usually assists me, and she provides exceptional customer service, always remembering the extras I request. I eagerly look forward to dining here every time I’m in Roswell. The Zen Asian Diner serves a diverse range of delicious and incredibly fresh Asian dishes in generous portions. Having grown accustomed to the abundance of high-quality Asian cuisine in the San Francisco Bay Area, we usually approach Asian restaurants in other areas with skepticism. However, this restaurant was a delightful surprise for cautious travelers like us. The potstickers were flavorful, and our main courses were cooked to perfection. I ordered takeout and was really disappointed with the amount of vegetables. In my order, there were only about three slices of carrot, a couple of chunks of pineapple, and maybe two pieces of bell pepper. The vegetables were practically nonexistent! This was the case with all four dinners, which was frustrating given that I spent $50. I won't be ordering from here again! It felt like there was barely a tablespoon of vegetables in total. I thought the food was fantastic, and the portions were generous. I ordered the General Tso shrimp, which was delicious. My son had the Orange chicken, and he enjoyed it so much that I had to get extra rice. However, when I went to request more rice, the woman at the counter informed me that they were out. I couldn’t believe it—what Chinese restaurant runs out of white rice, especially with an hour still left before closing? It just didn’t make sense to me.
Our favorite dishes are the sweet and sour chicken and the teriyaki chicken with roasted rice! When dining with a larger group, we enjoy sharing the veggie melé with beef or chicken. For many years, the food has consistently been delicious, and we really appreciate the cleanliness of the kitchen and the welcoming environment maintained by the owner. We understand the daily challenges of running a restaurant, and Zen does an excellent job!
The food is excellent. You place your order at the front, and they bring the food to your table. The restaurant is very clean, and the tables provide a comfortable dining experience.
Everything was wonderful as always! The only issue I had was with the pineapple in my teriyaki chicken, which I didn't enjoy. However, everything else was fantastic! Book a table now
