Zen Japanese Izakaya

the first visit will not be back. nice greeted and given menus. ordered drinks and water, which then looked at the menu (finally server came by to ask if ready yes) ordered 5 happy hour rolls. it took over 15-20 minutes to receive and forget 4 rolls. (what really put it over the edge and pulled me out was next table that came after us she 4 orders totaling at least 48 pieces sushi etc. and no problems with her order) obviously they were regular. wait them when something else is needed. not we? it was asked for another, it was forgotten and when I was finally sent to the table, I returned. I finished my role and was really crossed by lack of service or any communication. then 15 minutes later...

had dinner on Saturday night and was surprised to learn, they had a happy hour menu that was an incredible deal. for $20 a person they choose from an appetizer, we ordered the edamame and the choice of two rolls that I had the spicy thunfish roll and the spicy Californian roll and both were very delicious. they also get a selection of a drink including saki. the service was great and I look forward to the return.

absolutely hidden gem! fantastic and authentic Japanese cuisine that reminded me of my own travel by japan. the staff was very friendly and the ambiente was great. they would never think that such a wonderful place exists in this small shopping area, but I am so glad that I went through this door. will be absolutely back!

My first time at this restaurant. Fantastic meal! Delicious and fresh! I really like the atmosphere... not pretentious ... warm and comfortable ... and contemporary. Service was outstanding.
