Zum Schiff - Table reservation

We found this restaurant through the 2011 Guide by the "Tafelgesellschaft zum Goldenen Fisch" and since we have had good experiences in the past, we decided to try Zum Schiff. The location, while a bit out of the way and hidden, is idyllic and picture postcard perfect with tables are set right along the Rhine river. The setting was simply perfect and therefore we had high expectations for the food. But unfortunately we were quite disappointed. A very beautiful building with wooden structures directly at the river Rhine. In summer seating outside is an extra. A good choice of excellent dishes is offered. The Quality of Food is excellent as is the Service by the friendly staff. Good wine list.

Service fine, food tasty, ambiance inside pleasant enough, would return. Location very peaceful next to the crystal clear water of the Rhein and a current powered small people ferry to Germany
