After the outdoor art show on the lawn, my partner and I gathered quite an appetite and decided on Aikou on the busy South Street in Morristown. Their menu is inspired by the promise of Asian fusion cuisine, such as Japanese, Thai, and Chinese foods. We don't know too much about sushi, but there are plenty from which to choose. The interior was huge and contemporary, and the tables were well-spaced. All patrons, including ourselves, sat outside on a warm spring afternoon, people-watching as we ate our meals. As for starters, we shared their scallion pancakes, which were not greasy, and the filling was tasty with a rice wine and soy mixture. For entrees, we ordered crispy sesame chicken and c...

This place has gone down in quality. It 's been about 2 or so years since I 've been here. My husband and I were walking around town and we stopped in for lunch since I remember it being very enjoyable in the past. Tuna avocado roll was suspicious. Had a fishy flavor and did not taste fresh. It was also chewy? I 'm not sure if it was the seaweed/nori or the fish. We didn 't finish this as we were a little concerned. Chicken lettuce wraps were edible and fine, but lacked flavor and the chicken was very oily. Chicken lo mein looked like it was barely stir fried. The chicken was so pale in color as if it really wasn 't cooked. There are better Asian cuisines in town.
We ordered rock shrimp, carnation, angel, and dynamite rolls. The portion of rock shrimp was small, but they were crispy and the spicy mayo had a nice kick. The angel roll featured very crispy shrimp, which was a highlight. The carnation roll was quite good, but the dynamite roll was a bit bland. While I think the quality of the fish they use is good, the rolls just didn’t quite hit the mark for some reason. The fried ice cream was enjoyable, but the portion of ice cream itself was quite small.
I came in for lunch, there were only a few customers. I was greeted within a few minutes. I sat down, the waiter dropped the menu off immediately and took my drink order. I then ordered the Maki Combo Lunch Special. I got the Tuna Roll, Salmon Roll, and Yellowtail Jalapeño roll. The combo is accompanied with soup or salad; I opted for the soup. The seaweed tasted a little weird in the soup but at least the sushi tasted good. I would try them again but probably with a specialty roll. Book a table now
I had an excellent meal here on New Year's Eve! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and a salmon avocado roll, both of which were absolutely delicious. This place is a fantastic sushi spot. My boyfriend opted for the sushi dinner, and he enjoyed it as well. The staff is consistently attentive. I witnessed a girl drop her chopsticks, and a server promptly brought her a new pair. I’m not sure why, but we can always get a table without much hassle. I will definitely be coming back!
I ordered pad thai with shrimp take out. The dish had an assortment of ingredients but I liked the ample shrimp (5-6 were included) and the onions were particularly savory. There was a lot of liquid at the bottom of the food but overall it was good. The miso soup was ok (every miso is pretty much the same thing).
The food was excellent. We also tried the chicken lettuce wraps, which were delicious! The portion size of the shrimp dish was generous. Additionally, we ordered the chicken fried rice, and it was fresh, flavorful, and packed with plenty of white meat chicken without being greasy.
Ordered for the first time. The order was delivered correctly, however the portions were so small for a party of 6. Some things were good, some not worth it. I definitely don't think the portions were worth how much it was. Book a table now
We always go Aikou when in Morristown and often go to Morristown just to eat at Aikou. Anything on the menu is delicious and prepared beautifully. You should definitely check this place out.

"Terrible food, service and interior. There are damaged and dirty dishes. Water and all drinks from their water are like from a swamp."
