I went to AJ's for dinner with my wife and two friends. I had made a reservation, so we were seated right away when we arrived. The place is a bit on the small side, so I would recommend making a reservation to ensure you get a seat.The staff were really friendly and enthusiastic about their pizzas. We ordered the Brooklyn Sicilian and AJ's Roni Detroit, plus a caesar salad. Both pizzas were very tasty! I think we mostly preferred the Detroit pizza that crispy cheese on the sides of the pizza is fantastic but I would definitely order the Sicilian again too. Came here for the first time on Saturday night after having friends rave about how good it is, and they were right! We were sat at the bar and immediately greeted by a super friendly and sarcastically funny bartender who gave us the low down on the different style pizzas. We ordered a large half and half New York style pizza (the famous New Yorker and tropical reeves) along with the mini Detroit roni). Everything was delicious! Best pizza sauce I’ve had. If I could give this place more stars I would I visited Vancouver last week from Ireland and was recommended this place and boy did it live up to the recommendation best Pizza I've ever tasted plus cool restaurant and a tasty beer plus the chap serving us was a real gentleman and friendly and chatty. Please open one in Ireland as it's a long way to go to get a pizza but I will if I have to. Just gutted I didn't eat more when I was there.
Absolutely love this place, we were in the neighbourhood when they first opened and it was more accessible. Now the place is very, very popular, so popular, in fact that it’s hard to get a table or order a pizza at times. I would suggest a margarita with double cheese, and a Caesar salad. Try the Mike’s hot honey on top of your pizza. It’s so good. Not sure if Sam is still serving there. BEST SERVER EVER! Sam, we love you!!!!

Excellent!! First time visiting and walked in just after opening. We were greeted promptly and we ordered the house favorite Detroit Roni.Cheese on all sides…..Check!Some of the freshest, tastiest tomato sauce we’ve ever had…..Check!!Great atmosphere with a great non-corporate playlist playing throughout the establishment and the pizza is soo good it would be a crime to not go back.Thanks for the excellent experience!
Came here for the first time a week ago ! And I LOVED IT ! Some of the best “real” pizza I have ever had ! I would highly recommend any of their deep dish pizzas ! The tomato sauce is super fresh and authentic tasting. The service was great, we got seated right away. Super friendly. And the atmosphere with the music and , bar was great! Definitely will be coming back again
Definitely some delicious pizza to be eaten here. I got the Maui Wowi Detroit style and it was pretty solid. Can't lie I thought the deep dish would be a bit tastier but I'm curious to see how the non deep dishes are so I will return for another try. One of the best pizza spots in town so far. We tried a few thin crust slices and it was really good. The crust had a nice chewiness to it. Not your typical pizza crust. Im excited to try the deep dish next time. Place was small. Service was good. Parking sucks.Food: 5/5

Best deep dish pizza in CanadaAuthentic deep dish pizza with an industrial bar atmosphere. Great people and great pizza are to be found here. I highly recommend making the detour to AJs anytime visiting Vancouver.
