When we arrived we tried to order one order of garlic cheese bread wanted to order a small pizza with half half toppings. We were told you can only do half half on a large pizza, very strange to us but we...still decided to stay. We ended up getting two orders of the garlic cheese bread (not sure how that happened) and a small pizza. The food was very good but the experience was a little off putting. The cashier was SO nice but the back of the house did not seem happy we felt really bad watching the interaction the cashier had with them. Every time he asked a question (like can we do half half on a pizza) I felt bad for him because it seemed like a negative environment to work in. I hope the...

We're not sure why some people think this is the best pizza in Vancouver? Really? Average tasting pizza with minimal toppings. Ours was on the dry side and lacking flavor. I had the shrimp pesto that was supposed to have smoked Gouda etc and could not taste the flavor. There was one piece of shrimp on each slice. The chicken parm pizza and veggie Pizza our group had was also lacking flavor. Not impressed. At $26 each for a large, will not be returning. FYI there ARE better pizza places in Vancouver where paying gourmet prices you'll actually get gourmet pizza. This place you're paying top dollar for dough and some sauce basically. Guy behind counter was not very friendly or helpful. Just sto...

We've been customers for years now and still appreciate their unique taste. Definitely a cut above the usual delivery franchises like Domino's and Panago, but don't expect the gourmet level of higher-end pizzerias in Vancouver like Lombardo's, Via Tevere, Bibo, etc. The crust is on the thin, crisp side and toppings are always fresh and more sophisticated than the standard fare. For example: pine nuts on grilled chicken, roasted garlic on roasted eggplants and caramelized onions. The ham on the Hawaiian is especially tasty. Overall their pizzas have a more rustic taste, more pure/whole flavours. If you want take-out pizza that is not the usual junky stuff smothered with cheese and covered wit...

the first pizza we had was excellent. one of the best we can remember. the next day they gave a great recommendation to the breakfast and so we returned the next night to meat lasagna and a small pizza. To be honest, the second night...pizza wasn't as great as the first night. it was traditional (pepperoni and mushroom). the people were very friendly and it was fun to watch the people as they were on the way. friends ordered from the firewood while I visited this weekend. it was her normal visit for pizza. it was excellent to say nothing but wonderful things from the crust to the beats. we had the hawaiian, a veggie and one with feta and spinat. I wish I could find a pizza delivery place with a parlor like this in victoria! the pizzas have fed people.

We shared pizza, pasta and salad at this local eatery. The pizza was crust was charred and thin-ish and loaded with veggies. the pasta was over saucy but tasty. on the other hand the caesar salad was just way over dressed. Service was good and...prompt and attentive.

As soon as I see the firewood, I go there with my eyes closed, as I know that it's going to be great. We usually order as there not many tables in the restaurant, but it's worth the wait to get a cozy wooden table,...as you get your order really fast.

Crust was perfect. Toppings were generous A niece ordered fettuccine which I tasted and while she was content I thought it was very bland and the sauce too heavy. Good server. A reasonable, if higher than typical, price. We'll go again. Book a table now

We ate in the restaurant. Small, just a few tables, but warm and nice atmosphere. Fantastic pizza! Probably the best one in Vancouver. Service was so friendly and nice. We will go there again for sure!
