I used to really enjoy this restaurant, but after my last visit, I have decided not to return. The service was absolutely terrible, which seems to be a common issue since the pandemic. I know it can be hard to find good help, but that doesn't mean customers should have to suffer. My partner and I tried to dine here on a Saturday afternoon, but after waiting for about 10 minutes at the hostess stand, we decided to sit in the bar area instead. The waitress who finally came over to us said it would be another 10 minutes before anyone could assist us, then promptly disappeared before I could say anything. The dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere in both the bar and dining areas was beautiful. The pizzas were generously sized and delicious. The chicken parmigiano was especially tasty. The Italian sausage soup surpassed anything I have ever had at a popular chain restaurant. They have a separate take-out area, as well as a family-friendly dining area and a bar with seating. This was my first visit and I was very impressed. I apologize for only eating half of my food before remembering to take a photo, but it was too delicious not to share. The cannoli was the perfect ending to the meal.
My husband and I recently moved to the area and we were delighted to discover this hidden gem of a restaurant! Having grown up in the Chicagoland area, I have missed local mom and pop pizza places like this one. We decided to order takeout and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. As someone who is gluten free, I often struggle to find a pizza that tastes good and has a good crust. This gluten free pizza had a delicious crust and was loaded with toppings. And the best part was the price - only $14 for a 3 topping pizza! We will definitely be ordering from here again and look forward to trying out the dine-in option as well.
We had dinner for 6 on the Sunday before Labor Day. We were seated immediately. Our server was fabulous. And the food was perfect. We had the pizza pinwheels for an appetizer, and one Alfredo Pizza and a Meat Lovers pizza. Two 14 pizzas and we had leftovers. The crust was perfect, and that's saying a lot for me. My 75yo mom even commented on it and took a menu with her so she can order takeout later. That is a major compliment.

The cheesy breadsticks were the best we have ever had, with crisp baked underneath and thick cheese you could actually taste. Awesome!! Most dishes reasonably priced. Had a sub sandwich/grinder and the baked bun was perfect, good amount of meat. Only improvement would have been to bake it longer so meat and cheese would be warmer. Great service, clean and authentic Italian! Will be back!
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we had a great time. The atmosphere was lovely - lively enough to create a nice buzz, but not too loud that we couldn't have a conversation comfortably. We shared the burrito and it was absolutely delicious! Our server, Sydney, was friendly and knew the menu well. We will definitely be returning in the future!
It is a pub, that’s the only reason I rated 4 for atmosphere. Perhaps because of a previous complaint, all the tables in the pub have small signs that say “please see host stand to be seated.“ We went to the host stand and we’re seated immediately. We had fantastic service, and the food was wonderful. Highly highly recommend.
My coworker and I went to Alfano's yesterday (2/10/2022) such a warm and great service (thanks Ashley). We had pizza and appetizers and everything was so awesome Glad to support our local restaurant. Thanks!... I'm editing my review... I moved to Norton Shores and I really miss their pizza

My family and I stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner on Friday while visiting our son in Grand Rapids. We tried the burgers and brisket sandwich, which were both incredibly delicious. We will definitely be dining there again on our next visit. The service was excellent as well!
