I've been in the angel several times. it is a beautiful local village pub with charm and character, they sell a great selection of alcohol including the right real ales, camp and ghost. eating was always excellent and a great price for what they get. On Sundays, the inn makes a Brat dinner with a selection of usually one to two choices of meat, with a lot of veg, bratkartoffeln, yorkshire pudding and even some dauphinois kartoffeln plated. all this for £10 is a bargain and to make it better, they can even order it to take home. I would recommend if they were in the opposite.
Walked the Stour Valley trail and called for lunch at the Angel Inn, more by luck than anything else. It was, our lucky day! Two of us had drinks, chips, chicken wings and salt and chilli squid for £20. However, I must say that my general perception is that you get what you pay for so expectations weren't too high. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was absolutely first class. Plenty of it and so very tasty. I would recommend this establishment to everyone. Great food, value for money and great friendly hosts. Top rate pub
we have enjoyed an exceptional and generous Sunday dinner. really good price. friendly local, dog friendly, great ale and camp. in the middle of the local community, the pub is something of a flowering hub always come a lot in the diary. spacious from sunny outside seats and a huge marquee. renter and renter take interest in visitors and welcome them to the nearby camping site clock house.
my wife and I had a delicious Sunday dinner on the angel today. it's a new management and they seem to really understand when we're the meal and for suggestions for improvements (a nice personal touch.) to be honest, we couldn't blame the roast. large portions and much veg and variety.
