Great location and the perfect place to pause between galleries and displays at the museum. The staff were very attentive, and speedily moved us from a noisy table when we requested it. Good lunch time menu, although if you are planning afternoon tea, the menu is more comprehensive. I chose a starter which the restaurant said could be doubled to a main course : Chicory salad, crumbled Stilton, mulled wine poached pear, candied walnuts, Oxfordshire honey, cider vinegar dressing. Delicious!
Lunch time meal Saturday lunchtime. Pleasant light airy location. Lots of families. Good food. Pleasant efficient service. Average prices with reasonable value for the specials e.g. gnocchi. Very irritating that booking agency (Open Table) specifies 1 1/4 hours to return the table. Quite the wrong message. For a full meal or with slow service that could be a rush or be unsettling. Most places which specify time limits say 1 1/2 hrs.
Mothers Day treat. Staff were efficient and attentive with a smile. Service was quick and food tasty and we left with a Gift of Tea and Biscuits. A lovely touch to an enjoyable meal. Would like to mention that it would have been nice to have the menu option of a vegetarian sausage with the sausage and mash on offer (I did ask).
The location and service were good. However, the mushroom stroganoff was poor and my wife left most of it. When I got the bill I found that I had been charge £6. 80 for 2 cokes that cost 50p each in the shops. I won't be going back. Book a table now
This is a great place to take friends visiting the city for the day. Amazing views and friendly staff. I especially commend Ishmael, he gave us great tips about the food, particularly about desserts. We will be coming back!
Loved it ! Came here for Mother's day and the staff was super attentive and nice (Ismael is the kindest waiter ever !! ! Food is well presented and my mum had an amazing time
