Great little cafe with a wonderful view over Chowder Bay BUT the rudest staff I have come in contact with for a long time. I was part of a group of ten who had walked from Taronga to Chowder Bay and we were happy to wait for a table so we could get a drink and something to eat. Although the blackboard stated a variety of light meals we soon found out many were unavailable so we chose what was. On ordering a bacon and egg roll I was grumpily told by the cook "That will take at least 45 mins, so do you really want it?" I didn't bother. Some of my friends meals were forgotten and others were very sub standard. Such a shame for such a perfect spot. We all agreed if you aren't prepared to be plea...

GO ELSEWHERE. INCREDIBLY RUDE SERVICE. MEDIOCRE FOOD. For over 4 years we used to be regulars in this cafe. We used to work with our laptops there, having breakfast and/or lunch every 2-3 weeks. Today we went there we set up our laptops as usual and were told by the RUDE Mauritian kitchen boy that we cannot use the WIFI since this is not a workplace. He also told us to move to the back because "it does not look good" to have seated people with laptops in the cafe occupying the front space. THE CAFE HAD ONE OTHER COUPLE THERE AND WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY ON A RAINY DAY. In my entire lifetime, I have NEVER experienced such DISRESPECT. Even in the remotest places in Peru you will have cafes with in...

I went to Barico with a friend to celebrate his birthday. The service;1) I'd describe the person who served us as beligerant. No warm greeting, no friendliness, no conversation, just straight down to business.2) When I asked for a vegeterian wrap with salmon added they didn't understand, so after three attempts I gave up and ordered the vegetarian wrap. The food:3) The cofee was not very strong and the cup only half full.4) The presentation was average. The Cost;5) I was appauled at the cost, two people, 3 coffees, 2 wraps, 2 sweets total cost $46.00.I will NEVER go back and willmost certainly warn others about the place. no wonder there were no other customers.there when we visited !!!!! I think the folk running this place are bored of serving coffee, cake and dealing with people. There certainly seems a strange atmosphere from the staff behind the counter. I would have thought the hefty margins charged for below average fare should make them feel quite satisfied. Especially the lovely +10% surcharge for any transactions on Sunday's (or public holidays), where demand is high. My first, and last, experience here.
We stopped at this bar for a quick bite at lunch time and we were surprised by the slow, rude and unfriendly service. We got a rock hard and stale bagel, a sandwich that didn't really have the ingredients listed on their menu and a coffee that was all right for around $25. The location and view doesn't make up for all the rest
Mango frappe was very bad. Simple drink of ice and purée done very badly. Tasted more like a thick cordial. Wraps were very soggy. Chocolate croissant was stale. Was charged for public holiday surcharge as well which was expected but the very poor quality of food resulted in a very disappointing experience.
Visited here on the walk from Bradley's head to Chowder Bay. We asked for Soy lLatte and Skim Latte in regular cup to have here. Told you can have it in a takeaway cup cause I'm too busy. Don't bother stopping here, go up to Ripples so you don't have to take the owner's attitude. Book a table now
Perched right on Chowder Bay, you get amazing views and a beach side location. A very relaxed atmosphere in one of Sydney's most beautiful locations. Just next to the beach and a large park, it's a great stop over for coffee or a quick snack.
We had the most delicious toasted wraps and coffee. Staff work in a tiny hole in the wall cafe so do really well considering.

"Great atmosphere and food. Feels like a family restaurant which is rare so close to the city and in an area that's full of places that are probably "trendier""
