There is a great buzz about the place, with all kinds of people eating there - including some who looked Mexican (always a good sign).We all loved our food. I had the prawn fajita, which came on a hot plate with spicy smoke swirling around us. If you find yourself in Sydney and hungry for authentic Mexican food, head to Baja Cantina at 43-45 Glebe Point Road. As a native California, I can easily get great Mexican food in my home state. But whenever we travel out of the country, it's hard to find a place that comes close. I would give Baja Cantina four stars for being "pretty good." They have great margaritas and a wide variety of items on the menu. We came with a group and started with the mixed dips and chips. Have been to Baja many times, and while it's no life changing experience food wise, it's good food and huge portions, which I personally value when it comes to Mexican food ;) Service has never been next level, but it's not bad service either. It's a cheap place, and I guess you get what you pay for. I like the atmosphere, and will probably keep coming back every now and again.
The range of classic Mexican dishes and drinks are terrific and the service is fast and friendly. The evening we went they had music (a fabulous Mexican harpist and singer playing Mexican songs and popular selections) which made it even better. A good meal (size and quality) for a reasonable budget (we paid around $35 for a starter, main and 2 beers per person)

The service was quick when we ordered food and the kids played in the backyard. People play their instruments while you eat. Its great of how friendly the waiters/waitresses are! Its a perfect mexican style restaurant. I would definitely recommend!
It is not often our family visits a restaurant that we all want to go back because of the experience. Great food and service and an awesome atmosphere at the right price. Owners - take note and do not change a thing!!
